Our Approach

Our Philosophy

We teach each student as a unique individual, with patience and kindness. We believe the student/instructor bond should be one of trust and mutual respect. With regard to young children, we feel positive reinforcement and pride in accomplishment are the best and healthiest motivators. We do not forcefully submerge or impose intensive negative tactics to accomplish skill development.

Our Mission

We feel both honored and privileged that you have entrusted your child’s aquatic experience to us and we take that responsibility very seriously. We strive to educate both students and their parents in water safety and drowning prevention.

Our goal is to provide each student a safe, fun and friendly learning environment with which to teach developmentally appropriate swimming skills that build confidence and character. We form special relationships with both our students and their parents. Watching your child discover the joy of swimming is truly the most rewarding experience for us.

Owner and Director – Kathy Judin

Kathy Judin is an ardent promoter of aquatics, who brings a love of children together with decades of teaching experience. After twelve years as a competitive swimmer, she was first certified as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor in 1976.  She has developed a method that has been proven by thousands of students of all ages to be positive, engaging, and efficient. Her teaching style is heavily influenced by her competitive background, with focus on proper technique and long term results. In 1995, she founded Complete Aquatic Instruction in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kathy was recognized and interviewed by South Florida Parenting Magazine in 1996 as to the key elements to look for in quality learn to swim programs. She is currently on staff at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort. In 2012, Kathy was selected by the American Red Cross to join an elite few professionals in the organization's southeast region, who are responsible for the effective training and certification of Red Cross water safety instructors. She has conducted training and certification sessions for water safety instructors at public and private facilities including Nova Southeastern University.

She has trained swimmers at all levels of competitive swimming, but it is her success teaching near drowning victims and the physically challenged that is most gratifying for her. Kathy is happy at any time to answer your questions or concerns regarding your child or the learning process and as the mother of two children, herself, she understands your perspective.
